Hello ,

My name is Gisela Peterson the photographer , let me tell you a little about my self ! 

 

So I've loved photography ever since I first picked up a camera when I was pretty young , my entire family can vouch for that one . Always taking pictures of everything although i lost a lot of those pictures because my hard drived crashed those many years ago . I have taken my photography a lot more serious over the past several years .

 

A little about me personally , I have Crohn's Disease which is a Auto Immune Inflammatory Bowel Disease and although it doesnt look like a serious disease on the outside it is a terrible disease on the inside as a lot of the pain can not be seen by the human eye . My disease can leave me feeling like i was just hit by a train out of random which are called "flare ups". Right now my doctor says im in remission which can last anywhere from a week or a couple of months to a few years but only because i am on as i call it "Crohn's Chemo" I take a Entyvio Infusion every 8 weeks at the hospital which is medication ministered through a IV for a couple of hours and thanks to this wonderful medication it has given me my life back and no longer taking a little over a 100 pills a week to try and manage my pain .  So with out going in to all the details the disease doesnt not always allow me to work and a lot of people with crohns do not work depending on the severity of their pain . Photography has allowed me to make a little extra cash on the side to spend a little extra during my husbands deployments to send him care packages and to pay for my medications and medical bills .

Well enough about that .........

 

I am married to my wonderfully supportive husband David , who is a Soldier stationed currently at Fort Hood, Tx and Volunteer Firefighter for the Ding Dong Fire Department . We have been married for going on 6 years together for nearly 10 !  . We do not have kids yet but have been trying for sometime and are currently going through IVF , although no kids at the moment we do have a very enthousiastic and hyperactive orange taby  kitty named Riley Chicharon Peterson whom you will see a lot of pictures of .
